Oasis Carmel Dairy Watermelon Days July 15-17

Featuring new acts such as the Godfrey Comedy Magic Show, the Pollywood Bird Show, and the Clever Camels and Canines Show. Meet the two new baby camels, Zena and Trooper. Meet the mini sheep, donkeys, turkeys, and birds, and feed watermelon to the friendly camels, all included with admission. You can also take a camel ride, feed the mini farm animals, enjoy food, and check out the camel-milk product gift shop.

San Diego Pride Parade July 16

A 1.5 mile, 2-hour parade celebrating the LGBT community. Expected attendance by 200,000 spectators, elected officials, community groups, military service members, first responders, and more.

BBQ State Championship July 17

More than 40 of the nation’s top professional BBQ pitmasters, local restaurants, and chefs will be competing in this state championship for more than $15,000 in cash prizes while also selling BBQ samples to the public. Purchase four 2-oz. competition ready samples of brisket, pork, pork ribs, chicken, and/or steak for $10, which includes a Peoples’ Choice ballot to vote for your favorite contestant.

The world’s top professional surfer girls return to Oceanside for another three-day weekend jam packed with competitions and a festival village loaded with female-inspired vendors, activities, and entertainment.

Comic-Con July 21-24

Comic-Con International returns to the San Diego Convention Center. 2016 marks the 47th year for the show, making it the longest continuously run comics and popular-arts convention in the U.S.

Craft Beer Fest July 23

With more than 100 local and international brews served, beer aficionados will enjoy hard-to-find specialty craft brews alongside favorites from the San Diego brewing scene. Receive five 7 oz. tastings for $20. Full-sized beers may also be purchased. Pair your beer with the Gourmet Food Truck Festival offerings.

Live Well San Diego 5k July 30

A fun, family and pet-friendly event. Visit post-event expo with fun and informative zones for all ages. Proceeds benefit the San Diego Blood Bank which supports more than 100,000 patients each year. A donation will also be made to support foster youth in San Diego County.
